Key and Camelot code in one click
Layrix analyses a track's harmony and detects its key (e.g. A minor) along with the Camelot code (e.g. 8A) — the standard DJs use for harmonic transitions between tracks. No headphones or guesswork by ear: the result is ready 10–30 seconds after upload.
Building a set and mixing around the circle of fifths? Also check the exact BPM, computed by the same engine in one pass. Need the full chord progression, not just the overall key? Open chords from audio — we show the progression bar by bar, not just the key.
Working on a cover or a breakdown? Splitting into stems lets you hear how a specific instrument plays within a chord. All Layrix tools live on the homepage.
What is a Camelot code?
It's a key-notation system (1A–12B) used by DJs: tracks with neighboring codes mix harmonically.
Does Layrix detect major and minor?
Yes, the result always includes both the key name (e.g. C major) and the Camelot code.
Is it free?
Yes, key detection is free with no signup, with a 7-minute-per-file limit.
