Layrix trims a song against its waveform, so you can see the exact start and end of a fragment instead of guessing seconds by ear. The cut is accurate down to the sample, and short smooth fades are added at the edges so there's no click at the seam. Great for ringtones, video intros, story clips, or just cutting a long silence at the start of a recording. The file is carefully re-encoded into the chosen format, and the result is ready in 10–30 seconds.

Does trimming lose audio quality?
The file is re-encoded during trimming — that's needed for a sample-accurate cut and click-free fades at the edges. The re-encoding is done carefully, and the difference is not audible at ordinary MP3/WAV bitrates.
