Chords from the audio, not from a tabs website

Unlike most services that just search the web for existing tabs (and come up empty if the song isn't there), Layrix recognizes chords directly from the audio — from the track's own spectrum and harmony. That works for obscure songs, covers and rough demos that no tab site has ever indexed.

The result comes broken down bar by bar, so you can see exactly where each chord changes. Want to isolate one instrument's part? Split the track into stems first and listen to the accompaniment on its own. To line the chord chart up with a metronome, grab the exact BPM, and for transposing, check the track's key.

Singing along and want the words on screen too? Lyrics recognition shows them line by line with timing. All Layrix tools live on the homepage.

How is this different from tab websites?

Tabs on those sites are someone else's manual transcription and may not exist for your song. Layrix recognizes chords from the audio file itself, regardless of whether the song is indexed anywhere.

How accurate are the chords on complex tracks?

Accuracy is high on standard pop/rock progressions. On jazz harmony with extended chords, results may simplify to the closest triad.

Is it free?

Yes, chord recognition is free with no signup, with a 7-minute-per-file limit.
